These terms govern your use of willmitra.com, willmitra.in and the Will Mitra services (together, "Will Mitra"). Will Mitra is operated by Flying Forest (proprietor: Rekha Kishore Batavia) ("we", "us"). By using the website or buying a plan, you agree to these terms.

1. What Will Mitra is

Will Mitra provides an online, self-help tool that helps you prepare a draft will under Indian law, along with optional support services. Will Mitra is not a law firm. Using the builder or buying a plan does not by itself create an advocate–client relationship. Where a plan includes review by an advocate, that review is carried out by an independent practising advocate, whose engagement with you is governed by the rules of the Bar Council of India.

2. Who may use it

You must be at least 18 years old and of sound mind to make a will. You are responsible for making sure the information you enter is true, complete and up to date.

3. Your will is valid only when properly signed

A will prepared on Will Mitra becomes your will only when you print it, sign it, and have it attested by two witnesses as required by Section 63 of the Indian Succession Act, 1925. Witnesses should not be beneficiaries or spouses of beneficiaries. We provide signing instructions, but correct execution is your responsibility unless you buy a plan that includes assisted execution or registration.

4. Plans, prices and payment

• Prices are shown in Indian rupees and include GST unless stated otherwise.
• Payments are processed by Razorpay Software Private Limited. We do not see or store your card, UPI or bank details.
• Government fees, stamp duty and Sub-Registrar charges for registration are payable in addition, at actuals, unless a plan says they are included.
• Refunds and cancellations are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

5. No legal advice through the builder

Information on the website and inside the builder is general and is not legal advice for your situation. Complex matters, such as ancestral or coparcenary property, Muslim personal law, business interests, assets abroad or family disputes, need individual advice.

6. Intellectual property

The website, the builder and their content belong to us. You may use the will text generated for you for your personal use. You may not copy, resell or reproduce the builder or its templates.

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim relating to Will Mitra is limited to the amount you paid us for the plan concerned. We are not liable for loss caused by inaccurate information you provide, or by a will that is not executed as required by law.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Mumbai have exclusive jurisdiction.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. The version on this page applies from the date shown above.
